We had a nice, overcast day, high humidity, but not high temperatures.  The first relay filled, but handled all that wanted to shoot.  We had several new shooters including a junior.

Terry Sadler shot a Smith & Wesson M&P in .223, the first of these rifles we have seen.  It seemed to perform quite well.  Once he gets used to it we will see how accurate it is.  I expect it will hold it’s own in the service rifle class.

Joe Kanya shot his twenty shots slow fire from the offhand position and had a nice looking target. I tried shooting the rapid fire events offhand several years ago during a moment of frustration.  You can guess how that came out - B.A.D!

We are seeing a few scoped AR’s at our matches.  Since there are quite a few AR’s set up with scopes around and we want to get more participation in our matches we classified today’s entry as “Tactical Rifle”.

Thanks again for coming today.
