A beautiful day! And, there was some good shooting done along with some not so good shooting. We had shadows in the morning and nicely “lit” targets in the afternoon, hot in the sun though!
It looks like Carlos finally broke into the 300’s with that 160 prone. See! You can have fun just trying to improve! Greg Evans may start a trend with the Smith & Wesson M&P- 15-22. He shot some different ammo today and it made a difference. A better trigger and some added weight along with a sling hook up would help a lot. His ammo cost was about 15% of what the rest of us coughed up for the match. Interesting, to say the least. Want to get more kids shooting? This may be the ticket.
We had a great lunch thanks to my wife, Martha. Somebody said I should get ten extra points on my score, she said she wanted the ten points. Since we had previously decided that low score would bring lunch next time that worked out simply perfect! Then when I got home she told me she won a gun from the Gem City Outdoorsmen Gun Raffle. What dummy put her name on that ticket? I couldn’t win anything in a raffle if I held the only ticket! The last time she won she took the money and bought a case for her accordion. Maybe I can sweet talk her into sharing, who knows.
It was a good day!
Thanks for coming! The next match is September 26th.
